Make sure that you have the following books if you already have some experience with Perl. I've no experience with books for the absolute beginner. See also critiques and ratings on perl books for more information.Programming Perl - 2nd edition (Blue Camel Book)This is the reference for Perl. Has an excellent description of each function near the middle. Some chapters are difficult to understand for first time readers. The book has a lot of funny side remarks and is well written.
